NEP announces US market development strategy

Team to be assembled by EnergeiaWorks

Northern Electric Power Technology Inc. (NEP), developer of leading rapid shutdown safety solutions and state-of-the-art solar microinverters, today announces the appointment of Ed Heacox as CEO. Heacox, who has been General Manager of CPS America, will transition to an Advisor role with CPS as he initiates his role of CEO of NEP. He will implement and lead NEP’s global strategy and engagement with the US market. NEP has a ten-year history, starting in Japan and expanding globally, with installations in 25 countries. NEP is headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, and established as a benefit corporation driven to advance solar power conversion, safety and clean energy. Under the leadership of Heacox from the Pleasanton, California location, NEP will leverage its global experience to advance its technologies and products for solar projects throughout the United States.

With over three decades of experience, Ed Heacox is an established leader in power electronics. Transitioning to the solar industry in 2008, he has held top roles at inverter companies AE and CPS Americas. Both start-up business units gained traction and eventually #1 market share in their respective segments while under his management. With his new appointment, Heacox states, “Market share success completely depends on rigorous execution by great people. The ‘human factor’ is the most important element for NEP’s success.
